julia, showing off her artistic skills.

she draws "bipidie bopidies" from cinderella ad nauseum. for the uninformed, a "bipidie bopidie" is the coach that the fairy godmother makes out of a pumpkin in the disney version of cinderella.

toddlers are awesome.

my uncle richard made this rocking chair for me when i was a little girl. i loved that it was perfectly sized and made just for me. it makes me so happy to see julia sit in it. she has the matching cradle in her room for her baby dolls.

john's family recorded this tape of christmas music back in the 80's. john listens to it every christmas. i love the music on it, but for me, the commercials are the best part! who doesn't love the 80's?

while putting up the last of our decorations, i snapped a quick picture of the tape, complete with john doing dishes in the background.

we took julia to the park this morning because the day's high was supposed to be around 72. since the weather was so nice, almost all the animals were out. we ate lunch in front of this giraffe. julia was fascinated - she watched him all through lunch.

all in all, a pretty nice day.

this is what happens when i'm sick.

i was lying on the couch watching tv when john decided to let julia color. and have some milk. and play with the baby monitor. and get out some toys. and some more toys...

i'm feeling much better now. minus the migraine and the mess!

we took julia to the mall tonight to get some new clothes. on our way out, she ran over to this bench and sat down so she could put on her hat and mittens.

dinner with julia is always interesting. i let her "help" me with the pizza (homemade, of course) and assemble the salad. i think this picture would have been a lot nicer if i didn't have a 21 month old hanging on my leg!

this follows the theme of "beginnings". since john and i are going to be married in the church and receive the sacrament of marriage, i thought this would be appropriate.

i'm also realizing that i'm going to have to pull out the booklet for our camera and learn out to take pictures manually because this isn't cutting it. i hate the flash, and it's hard to keep posing on the same wall under the same lamp.
